Is it okay to just not give a fuck? If a great human being dies I can understand, but from his bio, this guy was kind of an asshole, and death will get you anyway. So are we concerned that innovation will stop or at least slow down? Then this is hypocritical, if we mourn him because he made nice iPhones this is hypocritical, if we mourn him because he is dead at all this is hypocritical and if some of us think he was a great human being they should read something about Steve.
Actually I dont like the attitude he created. I dont like he made things retarded-proof AND was proud of it. And the products and the PR he did. It seems to me that the attitude shifted towards feeling shame for wanting more than apple products because then your a geek without friends.
I would have been glad if he would have done a lot of things different. Although many great ideas came from him. But I don’t think I wouldn’t mourn for Sir Isaac Newton who was arguably one of the smartest people ever. But he was an arrogant looney and partly cruel too.
Would someone mourn Sergey Brin or Larry Page? Or even Steve Ballmer? No fucking way, this is the iMagical Aura all over again and I am sick of it. This can be said about Steve Jobs. He knew how to steer the public. He always was the centre of attention.
